These No-Bake Smoosh Bars are the easiest dessert bars you will ever make, and they are delicious, too! They are decadent squares made with crushed vanilla wafer cookies, sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, and pecans – all dusted in powdered sugar.

Are y’all ready for the easiest dessert bar with the silliest name? Ok, maybe not THE silliest, but pretty silly. We call these Smoosh Bars because you make a thick dough and then smoosh it into the pan. See… Smoosh Bars.
Not only do they have a fun name, they’re also ridiculously easy. There’s no baking at all. You literally crush the cookies, then mix all the ingredients together, smoosh it into a prepared pan, and let them chill. Then just slice and dust them with powdered sugar. I tend to like more powdered sugar on these, but you just add as much as you like.
Both kids and adults love these things. I bet you will too!

Can I use other cookies in this smoosh bar recipe?
Absolutely! I really think almost any non-cream-filled cookie would work. You just want to make sure you are measuring out the same amount of cookie crumbs as I call for in the recipe. Other than that, this is an excellent way to change up these no-bake bars a bit. I bet graham crackers or ginger snaps would be delicious options!
If you try this recipe with different cookies, please let me know in the comments section. I’d love to hear how they turned out!
Want even more flavor? Toast your pecans!
While I don’t include this as part of the recipe, I strongly suggest you toast your pecans before adding them to this recipe for even more flavor. I actually toast nearly all my pecans before adding them to recipes. Toasting them intensifies the flavor and makes them crunchier, which is great in these bars. Just scatter them on a rimmed baking sheet and bake at 350°F for about 5 minutes if they’re chopped – closer to 10 minutes if their whole. Then allow them to cool before adding them to the mix.

I love sweets. Thankyou so much for the mouth watering recipes. I am watching this from India.
I’m so glad you love the recipes!

Could you leave out the nuts in these? Or would it mess with the consistency? Is there something else you would suggest instead of nuts? We have some nut allergies in the family.
I’ve not done it without them, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work.

Hmmm. Wondering how these would be with Thin Mints. That’s all I have in my pantry now.
It sounds amazing, but I’ve not tried it, so I can’t say for sure it’ll work.

Could other cookies be used?

I’m sure a similar type cookie would work, like graham crackers. I always have those on hand for a super quick dessert. Now that I think of it, how good would this be with peanut butter cookies?
Absolutely! Graham crackers would work perfectly!

Looks really good. Have you ever made them with white chips? I can think of all kinds of possibilities!
No, but I think it would be great! Yes, these are super versatile!

These look great! How long do they last on the counter?
The don’t ever last very long around here. 🙂 For best flavor, I’d say 4 to 5 days.

Thanks!a
