Hey, y’all! Welcome, welcome! This is Sunday Super. It’s a weekly opportunity for me to jump on the blog and share what happened in my week and offer up a little recipe inspiration for the week to come.
Things were a little quieter around our house this week. I share two brand new recipes on the blog – Ultimate Cheesy Squash Casserole and Chocolate Chocolate Chip Muffins. In the blogging world, we’re getting ready for the holidays and making sure we’ve got tons of great recipes for y’all to help you celebrate.
Jack’s team won their football game this week and he actually got some time on the field playing guard. Which, as you might imagine, he was ecstatic about! I’ll admit there was a mama and a daddy up in the stands that were pretty ecstatic, too. As a parent, there’s something incredibly gratifying about seeing your kid do something they love.
Over at the Chinaberry House, exterior trim on the eaves and soffits has started and they’ve just about finished up the exterior weatherproofing. The plan is to start with plumbing and electrical next week!
On the recipe front, this week I’m sharing one of my favorite one-pot meals… my Creamy One-Pot Jambalaya Pasta. It’s got tons of amazing flavor and it all cooks in one pan – even the pasta! Who can say no to that?
I’m also sharing my Quick and Easy Garlic Herb Pull-Apart Rolls. These babies are flaky, tender, buttery, and garlicky! And no one will know they started with a tube of canned biscuits!
Caramel Cake, in general, has a reputation of being a little fussy when it comes to the frosting, but I love it so very much! So, I created this Caramel Sheet Cake to try to make the process a bit easier, more straight forward, and to produce consistently great results. I think it does all that.
And the recipe that stopped me in my tracks this week is Bread Bowl Spaghetti from I am Homesteader. When I was a little kid, my uncle and I would make spaghetti sandwiches out of leftover spaghetti when I’d stay at my grandparents’ house. Spaghetti sandwiches are quirky and different, but so delicious. This recipe from Amanda looks like an elevated version of that.
Now, I don’t have any great bit of wisdom to share this week other than to encourage you to just be kind. If we make a genuine effort to weave kindness into our words, our actions, and our intentions this week, I know it’s going to be a great one!
The best part about this Creamy One-Pot Jambalaya Pasta is how delicious it is. The next-to-best thing about this Creamy One-Pot Jambalaya Pasta is how crazy easy it is. I mean, it all cooks in one pan!
These amazingly easy Garlic Herb Pull-Apart Rolls start with canned biscuits but turn into something that's dinner party worthy! Plus, no one will know!
A classic caramel cake can be a little finicky. My version aims to make it easy, but still just as delicious. Any time I'm craving caramel cake, this is the recipe I go to.
This Bread Bowl Spaghetti from I am Homesteader reminds me of when I was little and my uncle and I would make spaghetti sandwiches out of plain ol' white bread and leftover spaghetti. They were a little different, but so good! This is certainly a little more elevated, but I'm sure equally as delicious!
Creamy One-Pot Jambalaya was really good!!! Just couldn’t get spaghetti to stay on the spoon; will break smaller next time because lost too much sauce using a fork. Definitely a keeper recipe.
Glad to hear you enjoyed it!
you are making me so hungry but also inspiring me to add a few new dishes to my menu cycles. I am low on printer paper as a result, LOL. But seriously, thanks and I will try these next week after I order my groceries.
Thanks so much, Linda! Hope you’ll enjoy!!
