In the South, we’re starting to see those delicious Plant City, Florida strawberries show up in grocery stores. Â For us, it’s the first peek at spring and being that we’ve seen snow in lower Alabama twice this year, I’m ready for it! I’ve already bought 5 or 6 quarts and I can say that they seem especially sweet this year.

Stacey. I live just a few miles away from Plant City, in Lakeland FL. The Strawberry Festival will start in a few days and will run for two weeks. We go to it just for the strawberry shortcake.
