Fall is, without a doubt, my favorite season. Honestly, I just love the cooler weather. Down here in the South, it’s quite a welcome relief! But there’s more, too. The leaves begin to turn, our sleeves get a bit longer, and roadside stands begin displaying the colors of the season in brightly colored gourds and pumpkins.

And while we really have most varieties of apples year-round now, apples and fall just seem to go hand-in-hand. From Granny Smith to Honeycrisp to Fuji to EverCrisp to Jazz to Pink Lady… I love them all!

So it’s the perfect time to share some delicious fall recipes. That’s where these Brown Sugar Apple Blondies come in. These are the perfect fall treat.

Apple Blondies 2

If you’ve made my Pecan Chewies, this has all the flavor of those, but with delicious bites of apple. They are absolutely incredible.  For this particular recipe, I used Granny Smiths, but most apple varieties will work. I’d just recommend one that’s tart and rather firm, so they’ll hold their shape when baking.  Y’all enjoy!

  1. 5 stars
Shared these with my work peeps and they LOVED them, raved about the flavor. Easy recipe but taste like you are a good genius. Definitely a perfect fall dessert!

    1. Hi Debbie!
I don’t keep track of that info, but it’s super easy to plug the info into a site like myfitnesspal.com to find it. Hope that helps!

  2. I made these with coconut flour and was wondering if that’s why they are very crumbly? Any suggestions ?

  3. Today, this recipe is one of 13 apple recipes that aren’t pie that was sent by Just a Pinch to members. It looks very good and sounds wonderful. Unfortunately, since I have several food allergies, including cinnamon, I’ll never be able to try this the way it should be made. I just wanted to say that all of your recipes look and sound delicious. Thanks for sharing your recipes with us!

  4. I found my way here from another blogger’s link, and tried this recipe last night! I didn’t have any pecans, but I had walnuts. And then I thought, “hmmm, maple walnut apple blondies could be interesting…” so I swapped in a bit of maple syrup for some of the brown sugar (not 1-for-1, because I didn’t want them too runny/sticky!). They were delish!!!

  5. I made these for my Mah Jongg group last year. I had to copy the recipe nine times because everyone loved them. And when I served them again this year, I got the same reaction and gave the recipe to the one person who did not get it last year. These are scrumptious!

  6. Hi, Stacey!

It’s the perfect time of year for these awesome looking blondies! I want to make them today, but was wondering if I could double the recipe for a 13 x 9 pan? The more the merrier.:) HA! Thanks for sharing all your delicious, yummy recipes!

    1. I’ve never done that, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. You’ll just need to adjust the cook time a little.

  7. I just took these out of the oven and my house smells fantastic! I planned these as dessert tonight but I think I’ll have to try them before then. They look really good too. The recipe says the apples should be diced. Roughly, what size would you recommend?

      1. Okay, they tasted fantastic. I got a more cake like consistency. I was expecting more of a chewy, brownie consistency. Did I do something wrong or is that expected? Don’t get me wrong, they were delicious. There’s only one left.

      2. IT might be the size of your egg. Next time you can also leave out the baking powder if you like. Glad you enjoyed them, regardless!

  8. Hi Stacey love your southern bite cookbook tried a lot f the recipes gained few pounds , but well worth it. when are you going to have your own cooking show . Have a good weekend.

    1. Thanks so much, Evette! Nothing means more than knowing folks are finding the book useful! On the TV show, we’ll that’s just up to the man upstairs. 🙂

  9. just made these… they were just soooooooooooo delicious, I added vanilla essence instead of cinnamon and no pecans since I didn’t have them.

    was so good.Yummilicious.

  10. Making these right now and they smell SOOOOOOOOOOO good!!!!! Can’t wait to try them! Love your recipes!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

  11. Can you use self rising flour rather than having to measure all the other ingredients. See you are still using my okra fritters recipe. Hope you are enjoying it. Still follow you daily. Have a great day.

    1. Hi Julie! I’ve never done it that way, but I would imagine it would work just fine. Yep, the recipe is just too goo not to share! 🙂

  12. Just finished making these with my 12 year old. The recipe is so simple and they are just delicious! I will definitely be making these again!

  13. Stacey – I made the Brown Sugar Apple Blondies last night, and my only regret was that they didn’t make a bigger pan! Absolutely loved them. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe.

  14. I printed this recipe and hope to make it soon. I really think this sounds good and so easy. I love easy ! 🙂 lol

  15. Thanks for sharing. I have just found your website and have already made a list of things I’m dying to make. This is an AWESOME recipe – The Hubs LOVES ’em. 2nd request for it these brownies in just one week – Maybe I need an apple tree 🙂

    1. LOL! Welcome, Christina! I’m so glad you like this recipe! Hopefully you’ll find lots more you like just as well! 🙂

  16. Just finished baking and tasting too. Very tasty indeed! Thanks for haring this recipe. It is a keeper 🙂

    1. Because of the moisture in the apple, they don’t hold well for long. I’m afraid a few days would yield you some soggy blondies. 🙂

  17. I am bananas over the pecan chewies, so these are a must try. What a great combination of flavors. I miss my southern brother : (
