You guys just love a Stromboli. My original Easy Stromboli is still one of the most popular recipes on the entire blog. And for good reason! They’re quick, delicious, filling, fun, and kids just love them! And taking advantage of premade dough makes them SUPER easy!
So it only made sense to take that classic recipe and mix it up again by adding some more of my favorite flavors… chicken, bacon, and ranch!
For this version, I take advantage of that same canned thin crust pizza dough but also add in one of my favorite grocery store staple shortcuts – rotisserie chicken! I combined that with premade ranch dressing, gooey cheese, and I even bought the bagged bacon that’s already cooked and crumbled. It worked perfectly.
Five simple ingredients is all it takes to get this baby on the table. My family devoured it and has already requested it again. Give it a try and see just how easy and delicious it is and you’ll understand exactly why! Y’all enjoy!
Recipe Card
Chicken Bacon Ranch Stromboli
Ingredients
- 1 (11-ounce) can thin crust refrigerated pizza dough
- 1/2 cup prepared ranch dressing plus more for dipping
- 2 cups shredded rotisserie chicken
- 1/2 cup chopped cooked bacon
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400° F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Open the can of pizza dough and stretch it thin and even on the parchment.
- Spread the dressing on the dough leaving about a 1-inch border around the edge. Sprinkle the chicken evenly over the dressing, then top with the bacon and cheese.
- Starting on one side, carefully roll the dough up like a jelly roll, using the parchment to help roll it over. Slide the stromboli to the middle of the parchment so that the seam is on the bottom. Stretch and tuck the ends under the stromboli. Cut several diagonal slits into the crust.
- Bake for 15 to 25 minutes or until deep golden brown. Serve warm with extra dressing for dipping.

Can you make this ahead and refrigerate until ready to bake?
I don’t have much positive experience with refrigerating this type of dough, so I can’t recommend that. If you do give it a try, please come back and let me know how it turns out.
Do i cook the chicken before I put it on the pizza crust? And which was do I roll it?
Yes, the rotisserie chicken should be cooked and the meat shredded. You can just buy a cooked rotisserie chicken from the grocery store to make it easy. You’l want to start on the long side and roll across. This video for my other stromboli might help… https://southernbite.com/easy-stromboli/
Made this tonight and it was SO GOOD! Will definitely be making this again many times!!
Awesome! So glad you enjoyed it!
Made this the night before last. Couldn’t find an 11 oz pizza dough (13.8 or 8 oz) so I used the 13.8 oz classic crust. This turned out great! Definitely one to make again. Thanks!!
Wonderful! Glad it turned out great for you!
Made these last night and OMG!! SO GOOD! I did not realize how big one would be, so made 3. One for each of us. Yeah, one would have been enough for 3 people. Lol. We definitely have left overs for tonight. Will make again.
Ha! I’m so glad to hear they turned out great for you!
Absolutely wonderful!!! Will definitely make it again!!
Love hearing that! So glad you enjoyed it!
Tried this for dinner tonight, and it was amazing! My only addition was to brush dough with a mixture of melted butter and bread dipping spices (Italian seasoning) before baking. Feeding my hubby and three grown sons, they ALL loved it! Rare indeed! Thanks Stacey for this recipe that will now be a regular in our house!
Wonderful! I’m so glad everyone enjoyed it!!
I made this before and it was awesome. The second time I made it. Instead of using pizza crust I used cresant rolls dough. It was even more amazing. If you wanna add a little twist to this already great recipe. Use cresant roll dough.
Love that idea! So glad you enjoyed it!!
Was not as good as it sounded.
What do you mean by that? Give us something to go on.
We made this for a group of people coming over! Let me just say that it was a huge hit. So much so, that our sweet goofy Great Dane, stole the last piece and devoured it!
Well, I’m glad everyone – including the pup – enjoyed it!
Gotta make this, those flavors are some of my faves too! Thanks Stacey!
It’s so good!
Made this tonight for dinner. I almost always have extra crumbled bacon and shredded chicken in my freezer for different things so this was so easy to put together. I mixed the chicken, bacon, half the cheese and the dressing together and then put on the crust then sprinkled the rest of the cheese over it before rolling up. I was afraid the time stated wouldn’t be long enough but it was perfect. This recipe is definitely a keeper it was delicious! Thank you!
I’m so happy you guys enjoyed it!!
Mmm…great combination!
Hard to beat bacon and ranch!
Sounds yummy! And easy! Can’t wait to try it!
I sure hope you’ll enjoy!!
I’m never going to make this because it’s not my thing. But when I got your email, I thought of you and your dog. I’m so sorry I forgot her name. It was a cool cute name, I remember that. And I remember her face. How are you doing now?
Thanks so much for thinking of me, Diana! Time certainly does lessen the pain, but there’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think of that sweet face.
