Soooo I may have screwed up! I tried to double the cheese and had a definite “fallout” problem! It didn’t maintain the shape! But the taste was magnificent!

Has anyone made this with homemade pizza dough or bread dough? I make most things from scratch, avoiding extra sodium, fat, & preservatives/additives. Thanks.
Stacey
I’ve not, but we’ll see if anyone else has…

My husband doesn’t like pepperoni can I use Italian sausage instead that is fried first. How much would you suggest. This for a main meal with a salad & a glass of good red wine would be great
Stacey
Maybe about a cup? Let me know how it turns out!

Stacey

sherry
do you have a mexican style version of this ? thanks enchilada recpe in a bundt pan ect ?
Stacey
I don’t, but it sounds like a delicious idea!
Theresa
Sherry-there is a version of this called Salsa Bread-I use a 9×13 pan not a bundt pan.
2 tablespoons of melted butter-cover bottom of pan
Then pretty much the same recipe as above but use these:
Biscuits
Jar of Salsa (I use a peach pineapple salsa)
Cheese-2 cups mexican blend or pepperjack
Olives
Peppers (optional)
You could probably add some ground beef or shredded chicken if you wanted. Or perhaps try enchilada sauce instead of salsa?
I think I bake this at 375 for 35 minutes. Cut into squares.
I get tons of compliments when I bring this to potlucks

Made this for us last night for supper along with a salad and it turned out great! I did have to cook it a little longer because our oven gets an attitude about baking sometimes, lol. I just needed to cook it an extra few minutes because it wasn’t quite done in the middle. After that though it was fine. Really yummy. I froze the rest because there are just the two of us. Such a fun recipe. Thanks.
Stacey
Awesome, Jen! SO glad y’all enjoyed it!

Stacey
Wonderful!! I’m so glad y’all enjoyed it!!
Jennifer
This was wonderful! I made it for company and they said it takes like something that would be served at our local pizza joint. My kids loved it so much that they begged me to make more for lunch today. I did since I had all the ingredients. The only problem was that it fell apart when I turned my pan. I figured it’s my oven so I added the extra cheese and stuck it back in the oven until the cheese was melted and to make sure it was cooked all the way. Next time, I’ll cook it on 375 (my 30 yr old oven is not always accurate). Thanks for sharing! This will be a regular for us!
Stacey
OH, Jennifer, I’m so glad y’all enjoyed it! We sure do like it at our house!
Amy
I just pulled this out of the oven and had to sample it immediately! It tastes as delicious as it smells! I sprayed the bundt pan generously and had no problems with it sticking. I used light sausage and turkey pepperoni plus extra Italian mix cheese. I will definitely be sharing this recipe with friends and family!
Stacey
Wonderful, Amy! I’m so glad that everything turned out like it should! So glad you’re enjoying this recipe!!
Susan
I tried this and it was not what I had hoped it would be. Number one, it did not release from the pan whole (yes, I did prepare the pan correctly) and secondly the olives were spongy and the biscuits were as well and it had a definite sweet taste, much unlike pizza. Glad I did a trial run.
Stacey
Susan, I’m not sure where the sweet flavor came into play. The only thing I can imagine is that the sauce or biscuits were different than what I used. I’ve made this numerous times and have never had a problem with it releasing from the pan. Sorry it wasn’t what you expected!
