Did you hear? The Pillsbury Bake-Off® Contest is back! Yep, the 48th edition of the classic baking contest is currently underway. To celebrate, my friends at Pillsbury asked me to pick a favorite winner from previous contests and share it with y’all. Scanning over the list of winners, I found so many things that caught my attention. From these Loaded Potato Pinwheels to these Pecan Pie Surprise Bars, there have been some really amazing Grand Prize winners over the years. But I just kept coming back to this one…And boy, am I glad I did!
This Cream Cheese Brownie Pie was a top-winning dessert from 2000 and is now one of my new favorite desserts. Imagine…fudgy, gooey chocolate brownies topped with a sweet and tart cream cheese layer and toasted, nutty pecans. All in a delicious flaky crust. Exactly. And if that weren’t enough, we top it off with warm, dripping chocolate fudge sauce. See what I mean?
As in years past, GE Appliances is a sponsor for the Bake-Off® Contest, and I’ll admit there’s not a better pairing. I’ve been a GE Appliance fan ever since I got my GE Monogram Advantium Speedcook Oven. Since it’s a microwave and oven in one, it’s the perfect second oven to have. We replaced our microwave with our Advantium since it does the same thing and serves as the perfect convection oven when my regular oven is full. I just love it! There’s nothing like having a great appliance to trust with your special occasion recipes and my Advantium never disappoints.
Speaking of high stakes like special occasions and the Bake-Off® Contest, y’all are going to love this Cream Cheese Brownie Pie—it’s the perfect addition to your Thanksgiving menu or as a weeknight dessert any day of the year. It’s easy, calls for simple ingredients, and is so dang good. Just try it and you’ll see exactly what I mean.
