Ingredients

– green cabbage  –sweet onion – white vinegar – vegetable or olive oil – salt – sugar – dry mustard – celery seed

Half and thinly slice cabbage, removing core, and place in a large bowl; peel and thinly slice onion, add to cabbage.

In a medium bowl, whisk together vinegar, oil, salt, sugar, dry mustard, and celery seed, then pour dressing over cabbage and toss to coat.

Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, tossing occasionally to coat slaw in dressing; taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper before serving.
