What do you need to make Red Velvet Cake

–  cake flour – salt – hot chocolate mix  – butter – eggs – sugar – red food coloring –  vanilla – buttermilk – white vinegar – baking soda

Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease/flour two 8-inch cake pans. In a large bowl, combine cake flour, salt, and hot chocolate mix. Cream sugar and butter, then mix in eggs, food coloring, and vanilla.

In a separate bowl, mix buttermilk, vinegar, and baking soda. Alternate adding flour and buttermilk mixtures to creamed ingredients. Divide batter into pans and bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely and frost with Cream Cheese Frosting.
