Crunchy Creole Green Bean Casserole

Ingredients

– vegetable oil – andouille or cajun sausage –  onion – mushrooms – garlic – cream of mushroom – milk – Jack cheese – Tony Chachere’s Original Creole Seasoning – green beans – pimentos – French fried onions – pecans

Preheat the oven and lightly spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

In a large skillet, heat the oil, add the sausage and brown until it crisps around the edges. Add the onions and cook until translucent, add the mushrooms and cook until golden brown.

Add the garlic, stir in the undiluted mushroom soup and stir to combine, add in the milk and cheese, and stir until the cheese is melted.

Add the Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning to taste. Add the green beans and pimentos and fold in until coated in the sauce.

Pour the mixture into the prepared dish. Top with the fried onions and pecans. Bake, uncovered until the casserole is hot and bubbly.
