Apple Cinnamon Crunch Muffins (Advantium Recipe)

  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 apples, peeled, cored, and finely chopped (I used Granny Smith)

For the topping:

  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter


  • Place muffin liners in the wells of a muffin pan (if desired) or spray the muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, and cinnamon. Add the butter, milk, beaten egg, vanilla, and chopped apple. Stir until the ingredients are moistened, but don't over mix. Spoon the mixture into the muffin pan.
  • Make the topping by combining the pecans, brown sugar, and melted butter. Mix with a fork until moistened. Spoon the mixture over the batter. Bake in the Advantium on the Metal Tray for 9 minutes at the settings below.
