You know, we Southerners like to put ranch dressing on just about anything. Pizza, pasta, french fries, chicken fingers, fresh veggies, hot wings, even salads! Seriously though, we do love us some ranch dressing south of the Mason-Dixon Line. My favorite way to sop up some ranch dressing is with some hot, fresh fried dill pickles! Yum! And I’ve been trying for years to perfect a ranch that best suits my taste. Well, I think I’m pretty close.
Now, I’ll be the first to admit that I can’t stand shelf-stable bottled ranch dressing. It’s just totally not my thing. Growing up, my Mom always made ranch at home using the packets of Hidden Valley Ranch mix. And don’t get me wrong, I do still love me some HVR, but being a food person, I feel it’s a requirement to have my own ranch recipe.
So, after months or research and development, here you go. But this recipe is going to come with a price… I want to know what you think about it. Take the recipe, test it, and come back and tell me about it. Feel free to alter the recipe and come back and share your version. Everyone who comes back and shares their recipe or posts a picture of their ranch dressing on our Facebook wall will be entered to win in our next give-a-way. It’ll be worth it, I promise!
