When we hit 3,000 Facebook fans last week, I was as tickled as a pig in sunshine.  Southern Bite is truly a labor of love for me and seeing it grow makes it so worthwhile. Having a full-time job, a two-year-old, and wife in grad school, it’s hard to find time to blog.  Y’all are lucky to some weeks even get one recipe where others blogs might offer 4 or 5.  But you keep coming back, and that makes the late nights writing the next post and the crazy frustration trying to get the right photo all worth it.  You know, we have developed such a sense of community here on Southern Bite.  I just enjoy sharing my family’s recipes and my thoughts with y’all.  And I just love it when something I say sparks a memory for you and you take the time to tell me about it.  It’s the most supreme form of compliment I get.  So to EVERYONE out there, thank you.  Thanks for for coming back to the site each day to see what I’m cooking or what I’m ranting about.  Thank you for sharing your recipes and your families with me.  Thanks for making this little dream of mine come true.  You each are appreciated more than you can ever imagine.  I scroll down the list of Facebook followers each day and I’m just amazed at the love I feel.  Y’all are awesome.  Just awesome.

I knew I had to do something big to say “thank you” to all of our Facebook fans. So, I’ve decided to share with you some of my favorite kitchen tools (yep, I’m channeling Oprah, but don’t expect a car or anything).
