The Florida Strawberry Festival takes place in Plant City, Florida, from March 3rd through March 13th. This festival got its beginning back in 1930 and with the exception of six years during and following World War II it has been going strong ever since. The 40th Annual Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival will be held in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, on April 8th, 9th and 10th. Along with the promotion of strawberry farmers and the industry, this particular festival gives non-profit organizations from around the State of Louisiana the chance to raise money for their programs by selling delicious Southern food.
